Quick And Easy Hummus Dip

Hummus dip that is quick and easy to make. Only equipment needed is a blender or food processor. Makes a great snack that is tasty, cheap and healthy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 14 oz / 400g can of chickpeas
  • 1 lemon juiced (about 1/4 cup)
  • 3 tbsp tahini (hulled)
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil + more for serving
  • 2 small cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp water
  • smoked paprika for garnish (can use sweet)

Instructions
 

  • Drain and rinse chickpeas.
  • Combine tahini and lemon juice together in a blender or food processor. Pulse for 30 seconds, until well combined and light in color.
  • Add olive oil, minced garlic and salt to the lemon tahini mixture. Pulse for another 30 seconds, until well combined.
  • Add in the cumin and rinsed chickpeas to the blender. Blend for 1 minute, or until smooth.
  • Alternate adding in some water to mixture and blending. Do this until hummus has reached the consistency you want.
  • Sprinkle over some paprika for garnish and drizzle with olive oil to serve.

Notes

Makes about 1 1/2 cups of hummus.
