Chicken thighs marinated in a honey garlic marinade, cooked in the air fryer and served with a honey garlic sauce. Really simple to make and tastes amazing.
2tbsprice wine vinegar(or any other preferred vinegar)
1tspcornstarch
1tbspwater
Instructions
Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs
Mix honey, garlic, soy sauce and vinegar together in a bowl until well combined. Reserve 1/4 cup of marinade to use later for the sauce.
Place the chicken thighs in a bowl or zip-top bag and pour over the remaining marinade. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (Note 1).
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C.
Place marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer and cook for 12-14 minutes, flipping halfway through (Note 2), until chicken thighs are golden and cooked through.
Honey Garlic Sauce
Heat a small saucepan or frying pan over medium heat.
Add the 1/4 cup of reserved marinade to the saucepan and bring to a simmer.
Mix together the cornstarch and water, in a small bowl, and add to the saucepan
Simmer the sauce for 1-2 minutes, until it has thickened slightly. Take off heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Drizzle the sauce over the cooked honey garlic chicken thighs, garnished with scallions (if using).
Notes
Marinate the chicken thighs for as long as you have time for (up to a 24 hours). Ideally leave the chicken to marinate overnight.
You can brush a little bit of leftover marinade onto the chicken thighs, when turning, to add a bit more flavor.
