4chicken thighsboneless skin off (approximately 1lb/ 500g)
1/4 - 1/2cupBBQ sauce(Note 1)
BBQ Spice Rub
2tspgarlic powder
2tsponion powder
2tspsmoked paprikacan substitute with non smoked
1/2tspchili powder(optional)
1/2tspsaltor to taste
1/4tspblack pepper
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C.
Meanwhile, mix together all of the ingredients for the rub in a small bowl.
Coat both sides of the chicken thighs in the spice rub.
Place the chicken into the air fryer basket and cook for 12 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through.
Brush the top facing side of the chicken thighs with BBQ sauce and cook for 3 minutes.
Flip the chicken, brush the top with more BBQ sauce and cook for another 3 minutes
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving warm.
Notes
The exact amount of BBQ sauce is going to vary depending on the size of the chicken thighs and preference. I ended up using a bit over 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce.
